After graduating from law school in the top 10 of my class, I began working for the Public Defender's office in the Florida 10th Judicial Circuit. I represented criminal defendants for over 3 years handling various cases from misdemeanor up to capital felonies. I tried over 30 jury trials over the 3 years I practiced there.

In 1990, I began practicing in the field of Worker's Compensation and Personal Injury. Subsequently, I began practicing in the field of Social Security Disability. The Supreme Court of Florida has certified me as a Circuit Mediator since 2015.

Over the last 30+ years, I have represented thousands of injured workers and other litigants in disputed claims.

I am a member of Florida Workers Advocates, an organization that works tirelessly to improve the laws affecting injured workers. I am a long-term member of American Association for Justice. Additionally, I am a sustaining member of NOSSCR, National Organization of Social Security Claimant's Representatives. I am a member of the Polk County Trial Lawyers and the Lakeland Bar Association.
